Challenge 55: Field Trip Challenge

December 7th, 2020

Vist the Ocmulgee Mounds National Historic Park yourselves. It's free, it's beautiful and it's interesting.

Native Americans first came to middle Georgia, during the Paleo-Indian period hunting Ice Age mammals. Many different American Indian cultures occupied this land for thousands of years. Around 900 CE, the Mississippian Period began. They constructed mounds for their elite, which remain today.

Ryan & Dustin walk the park's trails and explore the monuments. The boys learn about the history of the land and people that came before us.
